From Inaction to Empowerment: A Journey 40+ Years in the Making

I began my fitness journey at 14, driven by a poor body image and low self-esteem. Though I transformed my body quickly, I soon realized that compliments and a changed appearance didn’t heal what was happening inside. It took years to understand that true wellness involves not just the physical, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual as well.

In 1984, I committed to this path—not just to look like the guys on the magazine covers, but to finally do the work! I learned that abs aren’t built in the gym—they start in the kitchen. And while I had the discipline to lift weights, I did not yet know how to train others. That shifted when people began seeking my guidance, and a good friend reminded me that credentials matter, especially to those who don’t know your story.

So I studied. I got certified in personal training, then in nutrition. I dove deep into the science behind what I do—and that knowledge, paired with decades of lived experience, shaped me into a master trainer.

Now I’m here to help others not just change their bodies, but change their lives.
